Police responded to a King Street bar at approximately 5:30 p.m. on July 31 where the victim reported someone had stolen her iPhone 6 Plus from her purse the night before, according to an incident report.
The bar's manager made surveillance footage taken the night of the theft available to police. Police spotted two men believed to have been involved in the theft and police say one of them appeared to lean over the victim's purse for a prolonged time while standing next to her at the bar, then reach into her purse and pull out what appears to be a cell phone, the report states.
The victim told police she was not aware of the theft until after the suspect had left the area. The victim told police she tried to locate the phone through GPS tracking but said the phone was either turned off or was without power by the time she began the attempts.
Anyone who can identify the men pictured in the images is asked to call Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch at (843) 743-7200 and ask for the on-duty detective or Crime Stoppers at (843) 554-1111.
