BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Investigators have made more arrests in connection to a burglary at a business in Berkeley County.

Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis announced on Wednesday that detectives arrested two people for the July 4 burglary of the Handy Mart on 2227 North Highway 17 in Macedonia.

Authorities charged 35-year-old Jerry Daniel Burr of Bonneau and 35-year-old Jimmy Dean Guerry, both from Bonneau, with second degree burglary and grand larceny $10,000 or more.

Guerry was also charged with obtaining signature or property under false pretense $2,000 or less, receiving stolen goods $2,000 or less.

Last month, deputies announced the arrest of David Roger Hill for the burglary.

Sheriff Lewis stated, “Being able to solve this burglary and theft is very important to the Macedonia community. The Handy Mart has been a fixture Macedonia area for many years and we just cannot allow them to victimized like this. We are hopeful that those arrested for the burglary and theft will be out of circulation for quite a while.”

According to a press release, deputies are "very familiar" with both Guerry and Burr.

BCSO officials said Burr also has a warrant out of North Carolina for unrelated charges.
