Coroner's office identifies man killed in N. Charleston shooting

NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - The Charleston County Coroner's Office has identified a man who was killed in a shooting in North Charleston on Thursday.

Authorities say 40-year-old Jonathan Boone Jr. of Charleston died from a gunshot wound.

Police are continuing their search for a suspect.

Officers responded to Dobson Street and Sumner Avenue in reference to a person down in the roadway Thursday around 9 p.m.

There, they found a man suffering a gunshot wound.

The victim was pronounced dead on scene.

Two men were seen running from the area.
