CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - I recently had the honor of traveling with a group of Charleston business leaders to Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi.
We flew on a C-17 with the 315th Airlift Wing from Joint Base Charleston.
It gave us in the business world an opportunity to see what our employees, who are also in the reserve, do when they are away from their civilian jobs.
Wow. We witnessed everything from airlift operations, aeromedical evacuation, technical training, combat training, even the mission of the Hurricane Hunters.
Charleston should be very proud of these citizen airmen. They are brave men and women who work very hard at their full-time jobs, but who are just as dedicated to their second job of serving their country.
For that, we thank you all of you.
