CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - It's that time of year again when the tropical waves, depressions and storms line up in the Atlantic like little soldiers.
Fortunately, Charleston has been blessed: no major hurricanes since Hugo in 1989.
We hope it stays that way. But chances are, we'll be tested at some point and we're closely watching the system in the Gulf that, right now, is forecast to be headed our way.
What's important is to always be prepared. Make time now to review your plans with your family.
As always, the Live 5 First Alert Weather team will be here to keep you informed and safe.
Be careful out there.
