County employees go beyond call of duty for love's sake on Friday

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Wedding gown? Check.

Ring? Check.

Marriage license? Uh-oh.

Charleston Probate Court will be closed on Friday due to Hurricane Hermine.

Which would be bad news for a bride and groom looking to get hitched over the Labor Day weekend!

Not to worry!

Two employees of the court plan to go above and beyond the call of duty for those who had planned to pick up marriage licenses on Friday.

Kelsey Schuffenhauer and Regina LeBlanc will make themselves available to personally deliver the documents.

Schuffenhauer says when they did this once before during the October flooding, they were met by some very happy grooms and brides-to-be.

If you have filled out an application and your license is available for pickup you can contact Kelsey at (201) 421-1314 or Regina LeBlanc at (843) 224-7200.
