NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Emergency officials say a family of 11 was displaced after a house fire in North Charleston Thursday afternoon.
NCFD officials said crews responded to the 2300 block of Bailey Drive just after 5:15 p.m.
Firefighters reported heavy smoke surrounding a single-story home.
According to NCFD officials, one resident was transported to MUSC for observation and a second was assessed and released by EMS on scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
In an effort to make up for losses, the family is raising money on a GoFundMe page.
