BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Berkeley County deputies are searching for a man they say is wanted for criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature and first-degree burglary.
Eddie Gaskins was last seen driving a black Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck in the Bethera area, according to Berkeley County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Mike Cochran.
Deputies responded to a Moncks Corner home on Thursday at 7:25 p.m. where a woman reported Gaskins had entered her home uninvited. The woman told deputies she made repeated attempts to get him to leave the home, but Gaskins physically threatened her and grabbed her. After Gaskins continued to threaten the victim, he grabbed a pump-action shotgun and threatened her with it, deputies say.
After the victim fled the scene, deputies say Gaskins entered the home and attempted to flood it by clogging a drain and leaving the water running on full.
Gaskins is known to frequent the Macedonia, Jamestown, Huger and Bethera areas, Cochran said.
Anyone with information on Gaskins' whereabouts is asked to call the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office at (843) 719-4412 or Crime Stoppers at (843) 554-1111.
