GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - Two men are facing charges after an incident in Crowfield Plaza Sunday evening.
Jerome Pryor and Raykell Evans have been charged with criminal conspiracy, and Pryor has also been charged with armed robbery after a man told officers he was almost robbed when he got in a car with three people who told him they had "gas," which he took to mean marijuana.
The victim said Pryor pulled a black and silver colored semi-automatic pistol from his pants after they drove from one restaurant to another in the plaza parking lot.
Suspecting he was going to robbed, the victim said he grabbed the suspect by the throat and pushed his gun away. He was eventually able to get out of the car, he said, but not before being struck in the head with the gun.
The victim said Evans and a woman in the car did not participate in the assault, but he believed they knew the robbery was going to occur.
The suspects were identified on surveillance video and found at a home on Bradd Street in Summerville, according to a report.
