Berkeley County will be spraying Saturday morning from 7 a.m. until 9 a.m. over Daniel Island, Thomas Island, the Clouter Creek and Yellow House Dredge Disposal Sites, and the areas adjacent to Clements Ferry Road.
Charleston County will be spraying Saturday morning from 6:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. in the City of North Charleston, City of Charleston, Town of Mount Pleasant, Sullivans Island, Isle of Palms, Drum Island, Goat Island & dredge disposal sites along the Intracoastal Waterway.
The Centers for Disease Control website states only about one ounce of insecticide is sprayed over an area about the size of a football field. That small amount, the CDC says, does not pose a health risk to people or pets in the area being sprayed.
