Man killed in North Charleston shooting identified

NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - A man killed in a shooting incident on Terry Drive in North Charleston has been identified.

Edward Jones, 39, of North Charleston, died from gunshot wounds, according to Sara Senn Charleston County Deputy Coroner.

When officers arrived on scene at approximately 10 p.m. on a report of a possible robbery and shooting, they found Jones lying on the ground next to a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound, an incident report states.

He was transported to MUSC where he later died.

North Charleston Police Department is investigating the shooting.
