CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - An area of Church Street has been reopened after firefighters investigated smoke at St. Philip's Episcopal Church, officials say.
Firefighters were called to the church in reference to the smell of smoke Monday. Church Street between Queen and Cumberland was closed as they were on scene.
Officials with the Charleston Fire Department say the minor smoke they found was caused by the church's HVAC system.
All units were cleared by 10 a.m.
