CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

A storm Monday night not only came with rain but brought some trees down in the Lowcountry and started a fire at a home on Daniel Island.

Around 7:30 p.m., viewers reported a tree down on Main Road between Savannah Highway and Bees Ferry Road.

Later, residents reported a fire at a Daniel Island home.

Authorities say lightning struck a garage, but crews were able to extinguish the fire with no injuries involved.

According to Live 5 News' Jordan Wilkerson, there around 200 lightning strikes Monday night.
