Boy, officers collecting goods for family affected by Louisiana flood

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

The Mount Pleasant Police Department will help an 8-year-old boy collect items for a family that lost everything in Louisiana flooding. 

After seeing the picture of Ethan Comeaux, a little boy in Louisiana who lost everything including his toys, Kameron Smalls set off on a mission to do something about it.

Two Mount Pleasant officers were at a back-to-school event at a church when they heard Kameron get up and speak about his vision to collect goods for the Comeaux family.

Officers will be taking product and monetary donations at the Target on Long Grove Drive Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  

Local food trucks will also be stationed there, officials say.

For the boys, 4 and 8 years old: 
Clothing 
Baseball Room Décor 
Legos Mickey Mouse Bedding 
Bed and Mattress 
Toys Computer/Laptop
Baseball Glove/Balls 
School supplies 

For Mom (Size 8):
Clothing
Bedding
Bath Essentials
Kitchen Supplies
Household Goods
TV
Computer
