GEORGETOWN, SC (WCSC) - A national advisory panel will present research on what to do with Georgetown's old steel mill facility Friday.
Over 200 people lost their jobs last year when the steel mill closed. Now, the city is working to revamp the location with the Urban Land Institute.
The advisory group met with residents to talk about the best possible uses for the building. They will present their findings at 8:30 a.m. at the Winyah Auditorium.
That presentation is open to the public.
