NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston police are searching for a man who attempted to rob a bank but came up empty handed after his bag wouldn't fit into a teller's window.

Police say shortly before 4 p.m. a man entered the Sun Trust Bank at 8610 Dorchester Road.

According to police, the suspect proceeded to the teller window and attempted to shove a bag under the glass, demanding money.

When the bag would not fit under the glass, the suspect turned and left the bank, NCPD officials said.

A report states no weapon was produced during the incident and no one injured.

No money was taken.

Witnesses reported several police officers in the area following the incident.
