GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - A Goose Creek High School student has been arrested and is facing charges.

Ceasar Johnson, 18, is facing three charges.

Johnson was arrested for throwing a chair at another student, and sending him to the hospital with a concussion, according to Berkeley County Sheriff's Office.

Johnson has been charged with assault and battery of the third degree and disturbing school.

A school resource deputy says he approached the victim in the cafeteria after a fight broke out.

The victim was helped up by the deputy, and walked to the nurse's office.

A surveillance video shows Johnson throwing a chair at a 16-year-old student, then punching him several times, in the cafeteria Wednesday, according to deputies.

The victim was taken to the emergency room by EMS, with a swollen face and concussion.

After the assault, deputies say Johnson left school grounds.

Johnson was taken into custody Friday afternoon.

Johnson has been suspended, pending an expulsion hearing, according to deputies.
