GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) -

Authorities say a drug dealing investigation at a body shop in Goose Creek led to the arrest of one man and the confiscation of nearly 14 pounds of marijuana.

The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office arrested 56-year-old Neville Sealey and charged him with three counts of distribution of cocaine, two counts of possession with intent to distribute in proximity to a school, trafficking marijuana and PWID marijuana.

Sealey was locked up at the Hill Finklea Detention Center and later released on a $25,000 surety bond, according to the sheriff's office.

A BCSO report states that the investigation started after authorities received multiple complaints from concerned citizens about narcotics related activities at The T.D.&J Body Shop located on 1218 Redbank Road in unincorporated Goose Creek.

"Sheriff Lewis had the Drug Enforcement Unit investigate," BCSO officials said."During the investigation, multiple buys of cocaine were made from suspects at the business."

According to BCSO officials, upon executing a search warrant at the business on Sept. 23, several baggies of suspected marijuana weighing 146 grams were discovered along with a Taurus Judge revolver and $1,311.

"A search warrant at the suspect's residence on Pineshadow Drive conducted shortly thereafter resulted in the seizure of 6,132 grams of suspected marijuana, a Rossi .38 revolver and $1,050 in U.S. Currency," a sheriff's office report states."The combined weight of the suspected marijuana was 13.8 pounds."

"I wanted to thank the members of the community who provided detailed information to us so that our investigation could be carried out," Sheriff Lewis said."It is my hope that this arrest will help improve the quality of life for those in the Goose Creek area."
