DANIEL ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Daniel Island will be home to beer, brats and the sounds of Bavaria for the annual Oktoberfest celebration.
MUSC Health Stadium will host the annual German festival on Sunday, Oct. 2 from 12 to 5 p.m. In addition to the food and drink, Oktoberfest will feature live German music, dancing, and games for the entire family.
Adults can team up to compete in popular games such as the bratwurst eating contest, keg barrel races, and the tug-of-war. Teams will compete to be crowned the champions of 2016 Oktoberfest. The festival also includes several activities for children including jump castles, face painting, balloon art and more.
Football fans will also be treated to the Carolina Panthers game against the Atlanta Falcons playing on the stadium's giant video board. The Charleston Battery's playoff game will be streamed starting at 4 p.m.
Tickets are $15 for adults and free for children 12 and younger. The first 500 people through the gate will also get an Oktoberfest mug. For more information and to buy tickets to the event, click here.
