NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) -

A man visiting from North Carolina says he went inside his North Charleston hotel room to find two people performing a sexual act in his room.

According to a police report, officers were called to the Days Inn on Montague Avenue Sunday around 2 p.m.

The victim told officers he left his room around 11 a.m. Sunday and returned to find a man and woman in a compromising position around 1:20 p.m. The victim told the suspects to leave immediately.

"My mom opened the room door," said the man. "It appears as though he was getting some type of oral favor from a girl that was sitting in a chair in front of him."

The report says the hotel housekeeper admitted to letting the couple inside when the man said the room was his and he needed to get in.

"You don't let anybody in someone's hotel room without their permission!" said the man.

The victim told officers at least $500 in cash he left in his room was taken.

The North Charleston Police Department is investigating.

The manager of the Days Inn said the housekeeper, who let the man inside the room, is still employed at the hotel.

The Days Inn has offered to pay the man the money that was stolen.
