CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating after a Charleston County Sheriff's Office van carrying five juveniles was hit by a commercial work truck on I-26 Monday.
Deputies say the incident happened shortly before 10 a.m. The van was traveling eastbound near exit 219A when the incident happened.
One of the young people complained of back pains and was taken to an area hospital, according to a statement from the Sheriff's Office.
The children were being taken to family court.
