FOLLY BEACH, SC (WCSC) - Folly Beach officials lifted a curfew Wednesday after power was fully restored.
Electricity was restored to the entire city at 4:15 a.m. Wednesday, according to Folly Beach Mayor Tim Goodwin.
"This allows us to remove the curfew and Center Street to return to business as usual," Goodwin said.
Goodwin thanked the residents for their patience and "acts of goodwill before and after the storm."
"I would now ask that you continue your clean up efforts to use all safety precautions so no one gets injured, especially used powered equipment like chain saws," he said. "I would also like to express my thanks to our Public Safety and Public Works Departments for the many hours of hard work."
