CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Charleston, Colleton and Dorchester counties are all under a flood warning until 1 p.m. Thursday.
A flood warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
River levels are expected to continue to rise through at least Friday.
According to the National Weather Service, some locations that will experience flooding include Jacksonboro and locations along Parkers Ferry Road.
At 2:52 p.m., emergency management officials reported significant flooding along the lower Edisto River and its immediate tributaries.
One water rescue has already occurred in the Parkers Ferry area and portions of Parkers Ferry Road have been inundated.
Dorchester County emergency management reports that flooding continues along Four Hole Swamp. An areal flood warning remains in effect for the county until Thursday at 1 p.m.
Highway 78, Horseford Road and Wire Road are inundated and closed over Four Hole Swamp.
Flood waters have also reached some homes in the area.
