Grassroots leaders to host gun discussion with focus on kids

. - It's a parent's worst nightmare, but we hear about it too often — kids sneaking into gun cabinets and getting their hands on firearms.

Between 2014 and June of this year, 320 kids died of accidental shootings, according to the associated press and USA Today. Experts say the most common shooters and victims are three-year-olds.

A panel discussion called Keeping Kids Safe will be held at Providence Baptist Church on Daniel Island at 7 p.m. Wednesday night.

According to a press release, the 75-minute event moderated by Daniel Island-based Gun Sense S.C. member Peter Zalka, will address gun safety, accidents, preventative measures and more.
