Cops: James Island woman accused of shooting at uncle during fight

JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Authorities say a 32-year-old woman shot at her uncle during a fight at a James Island home.

Bianca Richardson was arrested on Friday and charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm during a violent crime.

Richardson's arrest stems from an incident on Thursday when deputies responded to a home on Richardson Road for a disturbance involving a weapon.

The victim said his niece, Richardson, had tried to shoot him.

According to the victim, the whole thing started when Richardson turned off the breaker which controls the TV, and "had done so purposely."

The victim told investigators that a verbal altercation ensued between him and Richardson, during which another of his nieces arrived and also engaged him in a verbal argument.

The victim said he went back to his room when the second niece threatened to stab him with a key; the second niece told authorities that she threatened to defend herself with her keys because the victim was advancing towards her.

A report states Richardson fired six shots through the wall into the victim's bedroom, grazing him on the top of his head.

The victim said he then fled the scene.

Responders reported finding a small cut to the top of the victim's head as well as a scratch to his arm.

Witnesses told authorities that the victim had escalated the argument and that he struck both of his nieces before returning to his bedroom.

According to the witnesses, one of the nieces then attempted to kick the victim's door, and Richardson fired shots through the door.
