NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - A man killed in a shooting on Saturday night has been identified.

Curtis Franks, 32, died as a result of a gunshot wound, according to Dorchester County Coroner, Alice Durr.

On Saturday night, Franks was with several other people on Hunters Ridge Lane in North Charleston when shots rang out, reports say.

He was fatally shot in front of a building in the 7500 block of Hunters Ridge Lane.

Franks was pronounced dead at the scene of the crime, according to police.

Following the shooting, a white Jeep and dark colored Crown Victoria was seen leaving the location, police say.

The incident is currently being investigated.
