Colleton Co. School District announces make-up days

COLLETON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

The Colleton County School District has announced make-up days for classes missed due to Tropical Storm Hermine and Hurricane Matthew. 

February 17, 2017, March 17, 2017, and April 17, 2017 will serve as make-up days as designated on the 2016-2017 School Calendar for inclement weather.

June 1, 2017 and June 2, 2017 will be used as two additional make-up days.

Three days will be waived by the school board and the district will make a request to the State Board of Education to waive one day.

February 16, 2017, March 16, 2017, May 30, 2017 and May 31, 2017 will be regular school days instead of early dismissal days. June 1, 2017 and June 2, 2017 will be early dismissal days.

The end of the school year for students will be June 2, 2017 instead of May 31, 2017.

The last day for teachers will be June 6, 2017 instead of June 2, 2017.
