Man identified in fatal wreck on James Island

JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) -

The Charleston County Deputy Coroner has identified a man who was killed in a fatal car accident on James Island.

Thomas Dunleavy, 62,  from Charleston, died at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident, according to Deputy Coroner Kimberly Rhoton.

The accident occurred on Fort Johnson and Camp Roads on Friday night at approximately 7:08 p.m.

The accident involved a motorcycle and another vehicle, police said. 

Traffic was rerouted around the scene and the roads reopened shortly after 11 p.m.

Anthony Marino, 26, of Daniel Island, was charged with reckless homicide in connection with the accident, according to Charleston Police spokesman Charles Francis. A judge set a $50,000 surety bond Saturday morning for Marino.
