FEMA disaster recovery center to open in Georgetown Tuesday

GEORGETOWN, SC (WCSC) -

FEMA will open a disaster recovery center in Georgetown County Tuesday.

According to a statement from Georgetown County, the center is slated to open at 1 p.m. at the Beck Recreation Center, 2030 Church St. in Georgetown.

Going forward, the center will be open from  9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays, according to a county official. 

There, residents affected by Hurricane Matthew and related flooding can meet with FEMA representatives and get information on how to apply for aid.
