A 19-year-old has been arrested in connection with an Oct. 21 shooting in downtown Charleston.
Vincent Lamont Smith is charged with attempted murder, according to Charleston Police spokesman Charles Francis.
Police responded to the area of Amherst and America streets at about 11:40 a.m. on Oct. 21 in reference to shots being first. Officers located a man with a gunshot wound to the arm, Francis said.
The victim was transported to MUSC and was treated and released, he said.
Smith was being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
