Authorities investigating after two people shot in North Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) -

Authorities are investigating after two people were shot in North Charleston on Tuesday. 

The investigation started shortly before 5 p.m. when officers responded to Oregon Street in reference to a gunshot victim. Officers found a dark gray Nissan Sentra with bullet holes in the trunk and back window busted out, according to an incident report.

Police say the driver was sitting in the front driver's seat with an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to MUSC. 

According to NCPD officials, investigators learned that the victim was shot in the area of Accabee Road and E. Surrey Drive, then drove to the Oregon Street location.

Police say a second victim showed up at MUSC for treatment from a gunshot wound.

Authorities are continuing the investigation.
