Berkeley County Deputies arrested a man after a high speed chase.

Taalib Din Caliph, 38, was arrested for Driving Under Suspension while his license was suspended for DUI.

Deputies were called out in reference to a U-Haul truck driving in a reckless manner.

Berkeley County Sheriff's Office Deputies located the U-Haul in question along South Live Oak Drive in Moncks Corner and attempted to conduct a lawful traffic stop, deputies said.

The U-Haul truck failed to stop for the deputies and continued traveling down South Live Oak Drive towards Summerville, reports say.

Deputies successfully utilized tire deflation devices which caused the U-Haul to slow down.

The suspect was taken into custody near the intersection of Highway 176 and Cooper Store Road without incident, deputies say.

Caliph, whose license was suspended previously, was charged with driving under suspension while his license was suspended for DUI, 3rd or subsequent offense with a bond of $2,105, Reckless driving with a bond of $440, Failure to stop for blue lights and siren, and 1st offense with a bond of $5,000 and a warrant for child support nonpayment with no bond set for that offense, deputies say.
