BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Two Sangaree men have been arrested in what Berkeley County deputies say is one of the biggest meth busts in the county's history.

John Jamain Bryant, 44, and Melvin Keith Bryant, age 41, face charges for possession of 1,228 gross grams of methamphetamines, 122 gross grams of Marijuana, 16 Schedule 1 narcotics pills, a Taurus 38 revolver and 4 vehicles from the residence, Berkeley County Chief Deputy Mick Cochran said.

"This amount of methamphetamines represents one of the largest meth busts in Berkeley County history," Cochran said. "Meth is typically sold in smaller quantities, this amount has a wholesale value of approximately $15,000 but a far greater value when sold individually."

Deputies say residents of Sangaree notified authorities of their concerns.

"We appreciate the residents of Sangaree for having the confidence in us to let us know the problems in Sangaree," Sheriff Duane Lewis said.
