Officials issuing parking alert for Dolly Parton Concert, Miss SC USA Pageant

Officials have issued a parking alert for Friday for two events going on at the same time at the North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center.

Dolly Parton will be in concert at the Coliseum and The Miss South Carolina USA Pageant will be held in the Performing Arts Center.

Capacity crowds are expected. Attendees are encouraged to carpool and arrive early, North Charleston Coliseum spokesperson Allan Coker said.  

Coker said the coliseum parking lot opens at 3 p.m. Off-site parking and shuttle transportation is available at the North Charleston Fire Museum and Tanger Outlets beginning at 6 p.m. 

Listed is the schedule for the North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center. 

6 p.m. 

  • Montague and Coliseum terraces open.

6:30 p.m. 

  • Doors open at North Charleston Coliseum.
  • Doors open at North Charleston Performing Arts Center.

7:30 p.m.

  • Dolly Parton Concert begins in the coliseum.
  • Miss South Carolina USA Pageant begins at the performing arts center.

Coker says limited tickets are still available for both events at the Coliseum Advance Ticket office, charge- by-phone 800-745-3000 or online at Ticketmaster.com.
