As jury selection continues in the Dylann Roof federal murder trial, the cost continues to grow.
With death penalty on the the table, this could be the most expensive trial ever held in Charleston County. According to the Office of Defender Services, the average cost of a federal death penalty trial can cost more than $600,000. The federal death penalty case against Dylann Roof could well exceed that amount.
