The Berkeley County Rescue Squad were involved in a rescue on Lake Moultrie early Sunday morning.
BCRS were notified around 9 a.m. of an overturned boat. A search was conducted with the help of the Lake Moultrie Fire Department and Moncks Corner Rural Fire Department.
Shortly after 10 a.m., they were able to locate Bennie Bunch, who was competing in a fishing tournament when his boat started filling with water.
At the time of his rescue, Bunch appeared to show signs of hypothermia. He was then transported to a local hospital and is in good condition.
