BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Berkeley County deputies arrested two men on multiple charges after a traffic stop Saturday night.
Michael Cook, Jr., 28, and Jonathan Williams, 25, both of Columbia, face charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a stolen firearm and unlawful carrying of a firearm, according to a Facebook post from the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office.
Shortly after midnight on Saturday, a Berkeley County deputy observed a dark gray Chevrolet Impala with window tint deputies say was "much darker" than the legal limits.
During the traffic stop, deputies found 588 grams of suspected marijuana and a Taurus PT809 C pistol with an extended magazine that had been reported stolen in Summerville, deputies say.
Both were being held in the Hill-Finklea Detention Center pending bond hearings.
