CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A plane headed from Florida to Virginia made an emergency landing at Charleston International Airport Monday afternoon.
JetBlue flight 1146 from Fort Lauderdale to Richmond diverted to Charleston following a mechanical issue, JetBlue spokesperson Morgan Johnston said.
The flight landing safely at approximately 4:20 p.m. and passengers exited the plane normally, Johnston said.
The nature of the mechanical issue was not disclosed, but Johnston said the plane would be taken out of service for inspection.
Customers will be accommodated on another flight, Johnston said.
