5 Around Town: Christmas Made in the South, visit Scuba Santa at the aquarium

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - There's plenty to do and see around Charleston this weekend.

There are plenty of events to get you in the holiday spirit!


Tis' the season to shop for all of those Christmas gifts and you can do just that at Christmas made in the South, happening this weekend!

The annual handmade arts and craft show features over 200 vendors.

It's is the perfect time to find a one of a kind gift for your friends and family.  Santa Claus will also be on site to take pictures with all the kids!

Christmas Made in the South begins Friday and ends on Sunday at the Exchange Park Fairgrounds.

The show runs from Dec. 2 - 4 at the Ladson Exchange Park. Admission is $7 for adults, children 12 and under get in for free.


Head out to the South Carolina Aquarium this weekend to see Scuba Claus in his big red hat and diving gear, as he takes the plunge into the Great Ocean Tank!

He'll dive twice each Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. through Dec. 16 at the South Carolina Aquarium.

This holiday treat is free with admission.


Celebrate the season with a unique holiday themed cabaret, happening this weekend!

The spectacular variety show features all your favorite holiday classics, highlighted by festive costumes and production.

Dancing showgirls and vocal headliners will be sure to add sparkle and cheer to your holiday!

The show runs through Dec. 23 at the Charleston Perfoming Arts Center.

Tickets are on sale now starting at $35.
