JOHNS ISLAND, SC (WCSC) -

Traffic is flowing again on Highway 17 at Main Road after a truck clipped power lines and knocked them into the roadway shortly before noon.

SCE&G crews have removed the lines from the roadway and are making repairs to the lines, spokesperson Kim Asbill said.

Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch says they were notified of downed lines at 11:56 a.m.

Asbill said there are no power outages associated with the downed lines and crews will stay on scene until they are able to repair and restring the lines.
