GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - Berkeley County officials say they will open a warming shelter in Goose Creek Friday night as temperatures are expected to stay below freezing.

The county's emergency preparedness division announced Goose Creek United Methodist Church, at 142 Red Bank Road, will serve as a warming center.

The church will open at 7 p.m. Friday and remain open until 7 a.m. Saturday. The church will provide a hot meal for dinner, a bed for the evening and breakfast Saturday  morning, Berkeley County spokesman Michael Mule said.

Anyone with questions about the warming center should call the Berkeley County Emergency Preparedness Department at 843-719-4366.
