CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Authorities say they seized a large shipment of cocaine upon its arrival in Charleston this week.
According to officials with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the shipment came from Cartegena, Colombia and was destined for South Carolina.
"CBP and HSI discovered the cocaine as part of its regular duties pertaining to the investigation of people and goods entering the United States," customs officials said in a statement.
Homeland Security Investigations is looking into the source of the drugs and their intended recipient.
"Additional details are not releasable at this time due to the ongoing investigation," officials said.
