MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - A Virginia man is facing charges after a crash that killed a motorcyclist on the Isle of Palms Connector Sunday.
Joseph Granger, 52, is being charged with felony DUI in connection with the collision on the Isle of Palms Connector Sunday, Googe said. He will be taken to the Charleston County Detention Center once he's released from MUSC, Mount Pleasant Police's Inspector Chip Googe says.
Zachary Grooms, 23, of Hanahan died on scene of blunt trauma.
Officers from the Mount Pleasant Police Department responded to the Isle of Palms Connector and Riviera Drive in reference to the collision, just after 4 p.m. Sunday.
Groom's motorcycle was heading towards the Isle of Palms on the connector when a vehicle turned left off of Riviera Drive and the two collided, police say.
