NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - North Charleston police are investigating after a truck left the roadway on Rivers Avenue.
Shortly before 8 p.m. a vehicle left the road and struck the Raising Canes sign on Rivers Ave, police say.
The vehicle came to a rest on an SCE&G power box and personnel responded to cut the power so that the vehicle could be lifted away from the box, according to police.
Eastbound traffic lanes were blocked for a moment, but they opened a short time later.
The driver of the vehicle was transported and is in stable condition, police say.
North Charleston police, EMS and firefighters responded to the scene.
