NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - A North Charleston teacher was arrested Saturday night, after reports of him being allegedly involved with a minor.

On Friday, shortly before 12:00 a.m., members of the Charleston County Sheriff's Office and the South Carolina ICAC Task Force, arrested Bradley Edward Mea, 27, of Sam Rittenberg Boulevard, according to deputies.

According to deputies, Mea is a teacher at Palmetto Scholars Academy, in North Charleston.

Mea is being charged with Criminal Solicitation of a Minor, Second Degree Criminal Exploitation of a Minor, and First Degree Criminal Exploitation of a Minor, Eric Watson with CCSO said.

On November 20, the parent of a 13-year-old victim reported to the Sheriff's Office that Mea coerced the victim into sending multiple nude photographs and videos of her through the social media platform known as "SnapChat", deputies said.

Mea was aware of the victim's age and continued to demand that the victim send additional photos, or he would post the pictures of her nudity on social media if she didn't, according to deputies.

The information was discovered during a criminal investigation conducted by the Charleston County Sheriff's Office and the South Carolina ICAC Task Force.

Mea was arrested when he arrived at the Charleston International Airport on Friday.

Mea is being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
