Charleston police release surveillance stills in credit card thefts

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Charleston police released four images Thursday they say shows two women who used or attempted to use stolen credit cards downtown.

One of the women used a stolen credit card at Lululemon to purchase $859.32 in merchandise while the second attempted to use a stolen card for a $6,073.84 purchase at the Apple Store, Charleston Police spokesman Charles Francis said. The Apple Store purchase was denied, he said.

Both of the stolen cards were taken from the victim's purse while she was dining at a King Street restaurant, he said.
