CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Live 5 News team helped students across the Lowcountry celebrate Read Across America Day on Thursday.

Every year, schools and libraries across the country celebrate the birthday of Theodor Geisel, better known to kids of all ages as Dr. Seuss.

This year, Seuss would have marked his 113th birthday.

Live 5 News anchors Kyle Jordan, Raphael James, Aisha Tyler, Sydney Ryan and Michal Higdon; and Live 5 Weather's Jordan Wilkerson and Chief Meteorologist Bill Walsh read Dr. Seuss books to students at several Lowcountry schools.
