CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A portion of the King Street Extension will be closed for approximately a week beginning Wednesday, Charleston Police confirmed.
The extension will be closed from Discher Avenue to Hackeman Avenue until March 15, according to Charleston Police spokesman Charles Francis.
The closure will allow roadway crews to safely remove overhead remnants of the former Spruill Avenue and Meeting Street exit ramps, he said.
Detour signs will direct motorists to Meeting Street Road.
Local Rosemont, Solvay and Dolphin Cove Marina traffic will be provided access throughout the road closure, he said.
