FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Freeze warning in effect until 9 a.m. Saturday

The National Weather Service issued a freeze warning in effect for much of South Carolina until 9 a.m. Saturday.

The warning area includes areas north and along a line from Allendale to Walterboro, Ridgeville and Jamestown. That includes Berkeley, Dorchester, Orangeburg, Williamsburg, and inland Colleton and Georgetown Counties.

Temperatures are expected to drop into the low 30s.
