ST. GEORGE, SC (WCSC) - A fugitive wanted for an attempted murder in the Lowcountry has been found in Florida.
Officials with the St. George Police Department say Devin Alexander Seabrook was arrested on March 8 in River View, Florida by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
Chief Brett Camp of the St. George Police Department said during the investigation they obtained information that Seabrook had gone to Flordia to stay with a family member in hopes of escaping apprehension for outstanding arrest warrants.
"The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Warrants Division went to a residence in the River View area and while conducting their surveillance of the residence they spotted the suspect, Devin Seabrook, and arrested him on sight without incident," police said.
According to SGPD officials, officers will be sent to Flordia this week to bring Seabrook back where he will be served with four arrest warrants.
"The charges are Attempted Murder, Discharging firearm into a vehicle, Poss. of firearm by convicted felon and Poss. of weapon during a violent crime," police said.
